Update: came back again and service and quality of food was much better. Definitely a good addition to the neighborhood.. --------// Not bad, not amazing. Would I go again? Maybe if they run another Yelp special!

Excellent hamachi Kama and miso! Free green tea. Nice ambiance, we come here all the time. I'm going to be mayor soon.

Love this place! Seems like no matter how busy they are the service is still outstanding. I never have to wait long for anything. The sushi is really good but I tried the ramen this time. Yum!

Foxy roll!! tonkotsu ramen!! 12 pcs Sashimi special!!! They are all my favorite. Love the atmosphere and decor here, food as well. The servers are decent and attentive. I definitely will be back again. Hope they have ten zaru soba later on....

We went to Kama Sushi in Soma just because the shabu-shabu place was 20 min. wait. The muni had not only sushi but other Japanese and Korean dishes. I decided to go Omakase sushi because nothing looked good in the menu. I was wrong - the sushi was as good as the ones at Tsunami. Sushi was very fresh and tasty. I will definitely come back!

There is some fantastic nigiri at this place. In short get anything "belly" if you can: - Toro! (fatty tuna / tuna belly: almost falling apart!) - "Sake Harami" (salmon belly) that was like 50% fatty... amazing... - "special seared hamachi toro" which we had to order extras of.... get it if they have it! - Super white tuna ("walu") - perhaps my favorite Walu in the city I've had mixed luck with everything else though: Yelp's algorithmically recommended crunchy lobster roll was tasty and varied, but their staff-recommended bacon wrapped mochi was just "OK."

My partners and I stayed in the city for several days attending a trade show and found this restaurant w/in walking distance of our hotel. We ate here 3 nights in a row and came away delighted with the food, service and atmosphere every time. Our group included people who don't do raw and/or prefer vegetarian, and those tastes were easily and and deliciously accommodated. Highly recommend.

We were dissapointed with this sushi place. Coming from the burbs we expected way better quality and presentation from a sushi joint in SF but it did not happen here. Our server was very nice and great at upselling us on the pricier items on the menu. With her recommendation and paying more for the hamchi belly appetizer and higher priced rolls we thought it would be great and it instead it was average and very small portions. And nothing bothers me more than somebody ordering after us and receiving their food before us. Yep, that is what happened. The table next to us ordered after us and had all their food before we received our two rolls. Needless to say we won't be back.

From Florida and on vacation. Stopped in for our last meal of the trip before flying for home tomorrow! Sushi here was delicious! Staff extremely nice! I would come here again and again if I could.

We were put on the second room. It seems that the waiter forgets whoever sits there, so it took a while to order, every time we wanted something. As long as the food arrived, it was delicious. We had some sushis and rolls!

This was my second time here because I thought I would give it a second chance. If you eat sushi often, I don't think you will be impressed. I tried the "real crab" sushi and thought about spitting it up. Didn't taste fresh at all and I rarely give bad reviews. This place is good for people who will order sushi at a food court and think it's fine only it's one step up because there is dim lighting. Nice servers though! It's not their fault.

Came in here on a Sunday night to grab some sushi and offer my mind a break from the study material. Was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and quality of service. Not used to sushi places where you sit at the bar but order from waiters but it worked out. The place gets pretty backed up with phone and online orders so I would recommend accounting for that. My selections arrived fresh and very tasty. If the sushi came out faster this place would be a 5. Will definitely return for some sushi in the future. I

I love this place. It's right up the street from my shop, it's fresh, delicious & affordable for lunch. I love the squid teriyaki & the toro sake sashimi.

Amazing food, excellent environment and service. Great location too. Restrooms are clean, which is always a good sign. The crunchy lobster roll (maki) is unbelievable. The dish was well served, it is easily a full dinner for someone hungry. It was the best roll I've ever had in my life and I consider myself a sushi lover. They also gave my wife a complementary miso soup at the end. So it was a great night!

I Love this place! The staff are very professional and polite. The decor is nice and calming. If you are ever in the soma area stop here for great sushi and a good selection of sake. But don't be surprised if you have to wait a few minutes outside to get a table.

Great service. Great sushi. Quick service. Lots of variety. I always order from them when I'm craving sushi and they've never let me down. You can order online which is amazing! I mean delivery sushi ... need I say more!

Yummy rolls and ramen. Great for take-out because they know how to pack everything! Fun atmosphere and these "Japanese-style" (sort of) booths for big groups. Love hitting this place up with a big group from work after a long day.

Solid sushi at a reasonably price. It was a Saturday night, so naturally my friends and I were headed to Bootie. But we needed someplace to refuel first. Sushi seemed like the perfect call. We were not disappointed. We ordered a lot of rolls, and I'm going to be honest...I remember only one. The uni (sea urchin) and quail egg. My friends were not down to try uni, and I hadn't before so I decided to go it alone. And I'm a fan! Interesting flavor and consistency. The flavor of the quail egg added to the richness. Definitely an interesting dish I'll be trying again. Though I can't remember any of the other rolls, I can remember thinking to myself "damn, this is good," every time I crushed a new roll. My friends were also enjoying everything. So I can tell you that it was all good! Good service. Reasonable prices, and a happy stomach. That's all we needed before dancing the night away at our favorite Saturday spot.

This is my go-to place for a delicious dinner. It is walking distance from where I live, the people are friendly and accommodating and the food is really good. They have a happy-hour with some reduced price items. Really wonderful place to return to often.

I ordered the sashimi combo and a Sapporo. Amazing fish - some of the freshest I've had in a while. The service was prompt and friendly. The location is easily accessible.

So far my favorite all around Japanese food restaurant in the Bae area. Having eaten some of the best Japanese in LA (still haven't been to Japan yet), this place satisfies cravings. The yakitori and nigiri are dope. Happy hour and lunch specials all day, everyday.

This is a great spot for a casual but quality sushi meal. Great happy hour. Fish is good quality for a casual spot. Fresh and tasty. Plenty to drink. Count me in.

Great place to get Japanese food. We ordered more than 6 rolls and several other options and they were all great! The service was amazing and overall a really great place for friends to get together and hangout.
